How to Set Up the Kiosk Mode

Kiosk Mode allows you to lock your device to a single web application — ideal for:

  • Stand-alone photo activations without a hostess
  • Long-term installations
  • Permanently installed photobooths in stores or similar environments

Depending on your hardware, you can enable Kiosk Mode as described below.

Kiosk Mode for Desktop PCs (Windows)

  • Press F11 to switch the browser into fullscreen mode.
  • Remove or hide the keyboard to prevent users from exiting fullscreen.

Kiosk Mode for iOS Devices

We recommend using KioskPro.

1. Install KioskPro

  • Test first: Download Kiosk Pro Lite from the App Store.
  • Upgrade: Once familiar with the app, upgrade to Kiosk Pro Basic.

2. Set an Admin Password

  • Open the app → Go to Admin section → Set a password.
  • This PIN is required to exit Kiosk Mode and prevents users from pressing the Home button or other system buttons.

3. Configure the Start Page

This defines the page shown after inactivity and the default home page.

4. Adjust General Settings (Optional)

  • Apply additional settings based on your installation needs.

Kiosk Mode for Android Devices

1. Set Admin Password

  • Open Fully Kiosk Browser
  • Go to:
    Settings → Unlock Settings (top right) → Set Admin Password
  • This password is required to exit Kiosk Mode and for remote administration.
    (Admin functions & kiosk protection are part of “Kiosk Mode (PLUS)”.)

2. Configure the Start Page

  • Navigate to:
    Web Content Settings → Start URL
  • Enter your start address, e.g.:app.eventstation.ai

  • If needed, activate:

  • Auto-Reload

  • Back to Start URL after inactivity

Under Settings:

  • Enable Keep Screen On
  • Enable Fullscreen and hide status/navigation bars (kiosk protection)

  • Optional:

  • URL Whitelist (allowed domains only)

  • Auto Reload on Idle (returns to home screen after inactivity)

4. Activate Kiosk Mode

  • Go to:
    Settings → Kiosk Mode (PLUS) → Enable Kiosk Mode
  • Follow the instructions and confirm Fully as the default launcher.
  • Allow all permissions when prompted.

5. Launch the Web App

  • Open the web app, log in, and start the event.
  • Your device is now locked in fullscreen kiosk mode.
